Transcript Request Procedures:
Current Students – Complete the transcript request form located in the counseling office. You must an envelope and two stamps. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for processing. If you would like to pick up your transcript, you must bring in a blank envelope. If you have any questions, please contact the counseling department.
Graduate Students – Complete the transcript request form located on the website or at Columbia High School, there is a $2 processing fee. Please allow 48 to 72 hours for processing. If you have any questions, please contact the counseling department.
Work Permit Procedures:
Students must complete the work permit student data form located in the attendance office.
SAT and ACT Test Fee Waiver Procedures:
Students must meet the requirements established by SAT/College Board and ACT in order to qualify to receive a test fee waiver. Students may sign up in the counseling office to see if they qualify and to receive a test waiver.
Procedures for College Recommendation Letters and Forms:
Current students who need letters of recommendations for college applications must complete a “Student Resume” and attach it to the form. If a general recommendation letter is needed, please complete the student resume form and include the contact name and address for the college and include a blank envelope.
Elizabeth Andrews High School (Formerly Open Campus) Registration is available August, October, January, and March of 2017-18. A student must be 16 with 6 units (3 must be core) or more to attend. Please see your counselor for more information and registration.
FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid forms are available January 2018. If you are interested in receiving financial aid through grants, student loans, Hope Scholarship, and/or work-study, this is the form that must be completed and submitted to the College Scholarship Service.

SAT & ACT
Registration deadlines and costs are printed on the registration packets for the SAT and ACT exams available in the Counseling Office. Schools in the University System of Georgia now accept either the ACT or the SAT for admittance. You may register to take the SAT online at www.collegeboard.com.
You may register to take the ACT online at www.act.org. For any ACT test, students may "stand by" at a test center on the day of the test. FYI: MLK is a testing site for ACT. Admittance will depend on availability of test materials and seats.

Accel/Formerly Joint Enrollment
Seniors who have registered for Accel classes must meet with their counselor once an acceptance letter is received from the college. Students are responsible for requesting the final transcript from the college to receive credit for their classes
MOVE ON WHEN READY
Move on When Ready provides opportunities for high school juniors and seniors to enroll full-time in postsecondary institutions to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. Students are eligible to participate in Move on When Ready if they are entering 11th or 12th grade, as determined by the system, and spent the prior school year in attendance at a public high school in Georgia. Institutions eligible to participate in Move on When Ready include: a unit of the University System of Georgia, a branch of the Technical College System of Georgia, a private independent nonprofit postsecondary institution eligible for tuition equalization grants, or a private proprietary postsecondary institution eligible for tuition equalization grants.
