Here a few reminders
SAT/SAT Day: Wednesday, 10.23.24. PSAT (All 10th Graders—Free), SAT (All 12th Graders—Free), PSAT (Select 11th Graders—11th Graders must pay a fee to test). Please see attached PSAT/SAT document for more information. Registration has closed for this event.
Principal Advisory Council (PAC) Meeting: Our first PAC meeting will be held virtually via Teams on Thursday, 10.24.24 @ 4pm. Visit the CHS website for link to meeting.
School Picture Day: Due to school closing for Hurricane Helene school pictures have been rescheduled for Friday, 11.1.24. DCSD soon will begin requiring all students to have a school ID to enter athletic events, so it is important that every student take a school picture. School IDs are free.
DCSD Rocks the Vote Campaign: Eligible students will have an opportunity to participate in DCSD Rocks the Vote Early Voting event the week of October 28th—more details forthcoming.
Dress Code: Parents please be mindful of the DCSD dress code. Although midriffs tops and shorts are allowable, please speak to your child about appropriate dress for school and in "good taste".
No headgear is allowed at school (hats, scarves, bonnets, skullcaps, beanies, etc.)
Students must wear shoes that are secured to the back of their feet (no house shoes, slides, flip-flops, etc.).
Students are not allowed to wear pajamas to school unless it is for a special event such as homecoming.
DCSD Disconnect to Reconnect Initiative: No phone usage during instructional time. Students are allowed to use phones during lunchtime and during transitions.
School Hours: 8:10am-3:10pm M-F. Students will be marked tardy after 8:10am and may receive a consequence for repeated tardies.
- Student Drop off and Pick up: CHS Gymnasium/Lower Parking Lot
Bookbags: Only clear or mesh bookbags are allowed at CHS. All other bookbags will be confiscated and returned to students at the end of the school year.
