CHS School Reminders Week of 11.11.24

Hello Eagles!
Here a few reminders for the week of November 11, 2024
  1. We Salute Our Veterans!: Monday, 11.11.24 (Please wear red, white, and blue)
  2. Parent-Teacher Conference Night: Wednesday, 11.13.24 4pm-6pm. 
  3. MAP Winter Administration: November 11th-22nd  (9th and 10th grades only)
  4. End of Pathway Assessment: November 13th-14th (Selected students only)
  5. Thanksgiving Break: Schools Closed Monday, November 25th-Friday, November 29th 
  6. Class of 2025 Graduation Date: Wednesday, May 21, 2025 @ 7pm Georgia State Convocation Center
  7. Student Chromebooks: We are still distributing Chromebooks to students who either haven't received a Chromebook or are new to CHS.  Please keep in mind if your child has lost a Chromebook, a hold has been placed on their record and they cannot be issued another one unless you pay for the lost/damaged one.   If you have questions about Chromebooks, please contact our Device Coordinator, Ms. Moore @  [email protected]    
 
Daily school reminders for 2024-2025 school year (These reminders will remain the same unless otherwise noted and will be shared weekly).
  1. Dress Code: Parents please be mindful of the DCSD dress code.  Although midriffs tops and shorts are allowable, please speak to your child about appropriate dress for school and in "good taste". 
  • No headgear is allowed at school (hats, scarves, bonnets, skullcaps, beanies, etc.)
  • Students must wear shoes that are secured to the back of their feet (no house shoes, slides, flip-flops, etc.).
  • Students are not allowed to wear pajamas to school unless it is for a special event such as homecoming
  1. DCSD Disconnect to Reconnect Initiative: No phone usage during instructional time.  Students are allowed to use phones during lunchtime and during transitions.
  2.  School Hours: 8:10am-3:10pm M-F.  Students will be marked tardy after 8:10am and may receive a consequence for repeated tardies. 
  3.  Student Drop off and Pick up: CHS Gymnasium/Lower Parking Lot
  4. Bookbags: Only clear or mesh bookbags are allowed at CHS.  All other bookbags will be confiscated and returned to students at the end of the school year.
