I hope you enjoyed your Snow Day on Friday and were safe and warm. School is scheduled to be back in session on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Here a few reminders for the week of January 13, 2025:
Fall Semester 2024 Reports Cards will be issued on Monday, 1.13.25. Please note that grades are available via Parent Portal now.
Virtual Learning Day Assignments due no later than 1.17.25. Contact your child's teacher if you have any additional questions.
Dr. King Holiday Day Observance: Monday, January 20, 2025—schools closed.
Title I State of the School Address and Curriculum Night: Wednesday, 1.29.25 CHS Cafe 5:30pm-7pm. More info coming soon. Please mark your calendars and join us.
Daily school reminders for 2024-2025 school year (These reminders will remain the same unless otherwise noted and will be shared weekly).
Class of 2025 Graduation Date: Wednesday, May 21, 2025 @ 7pm Georgia State Convocation Center
Dress Code: Parents please be mindful of the DCSD dress code. Although midriffs tops and shorts are allowable, please speak to your child about appropriate dress for school and in "good taste".
No headgear is allowed at school (hats, scarves, bonnets, skullcaps, beanies, etc.)
Students must wear shoes that are secured to the back of their feet (no house shoes, slides, flip-flops, etc.).
Students are not allowed to wear pajamas to school unless it is for a special event such as homecoming
DCSD Disconnect to Reconnect Initiative: No phone usage during instructional time. Students are allowed to use phones during lunchtime and during transitions.
School Hours: 8:10am-3:10pm M-F. Students will be marked tardy after 8:10am and may receive a consequence for repeated tardies.
Student Drop off and Pick up: CHS Gymnasium/Lower Parking Lot
Bookbags: Only clear or mesh bookbags are allowed at CHS. All other bookbags will be confiscated and returned to students at the end of the school year.
